2026 Summer Boy Delegates

Leo is 13 years old. He likes nature/outdoors, watching baseball, video games, movies, tv, cooking, and arts & crafts. He likes playing dodgeball. In his free time, he likes watching movies and playing games on the Nintendo Switch. He is talkative, friendly, studious, energetic, and patient. He is interested in this program because it allows him to experience foreign culture firsthand. In Utah, he would like to challenge himself with things that are difficult to experience in Japan. In particular, he would like to enjoy activities in nature, such as horseback riding.

M-01 Leo

Leo is 13 years old. He likes nature/outdoors, watching baseball, video games, movies, tv, cooking, and arts & crafts. He likes playing dodgeball. Naoya is 14 years old. He likes nature/outdoors, camping, hiking, boating, animals, cooking, and trying new foods. Naoya enjoys exercising and spending time outdoors. His hobbies include basketball, fishing, walking, and tennis. He also enjoys watching movies. Naoya is also interested in current fashion trends. He is curious, laughs a lot, talkative, social, easy going, honest, and patient. He would like to experience American culture firsthand through a homestay. He wants to challenge himself with things that are difficult to do in Japan. Naoya hopes to learn about different ways of thinking and values from people abroad and broaden his perspective.

Naoya is 14 years old. He likes nature/outdoors, camping, hiking, boating, animals, cooking, and trying new foods. Naoya enjoys exercising and spending time outdoors. His hobbies include basketball, fishing, walking, and tennis. He also enjoys watching movies. Naoya is also interested in current fashion trends. He is curious, laughs a lot, talkative, social, easy going, honest, and patient. He would like to experience American culture firsthand through a homestay. He wants to challenge himself with things that are difficult to do in Japan. Naoya hopes to learn about different ways of thinking and values from people abroad and broaden his perspective.

He wrote, "I make pop songs on my computer and write all the lyrics myself. I especially love rap and hip-hop- the beats and the words just get me every time! I would love to share some of my songs with you guys. I really love cooking Japanese food. ... Another hobby is photography. I like taking photo of everyday places in Japan -- like old shopping streets, shrines, and city lights at night. I want to try to make them look like a scene from a movie..." Yuto is friendly, talkative, considerate, responsible, and independent. He has always wanted to go to American and he thinks living with a real local family in the best way to feel the culture and meet amazing people. He did a homestay before in Mexico, so he knows how great it is to be a part of someone's family in another country. He would like to introduce some Japaneses culture to his host family, like origami, or maybe teach some Japanese words too. He has always been amazed by those sandstone landscapes from movies like Cars, and if he got a change, he really wants to visit a national park. He can't wait to have meals together and going in on family conversations!

M-04 Yuto

He is 15 years old. Yuto likes nature/outdoors, gardening, hiking, camping, boating, reading, movies, shopping, singing, and cooking. He likes music. Seiya is considerate, shy, studious, tolerant, and easygoing. He would like to enjoy doing many different activities with his host family. For example, he would like to have fun catching insects, swimming, fishing, playing sports, and games together. He has heard that American hamburgers are bigger here than in Japan and would like to try one.
